The Ethnic and Race Studies minor with a global focus offers an interdisciplinary approach to exploring the diverse cultures and societies that shape our world. This minor invites students to critically engage with the history, politics, religion, languages, and cultural practices of various ethnic/racialized groups in the US and the globe, enriching students understanding of global politics, power and privilege. By examining both the contributions and experiences of these groups, students gain insights into their impact on contemporary and historical U.S. culture and society at large.

The ethnic and race studies minor offers an education that is beneficial for those considering admission to graduate schools, as well as careers in education, law, business, politics and international relations. This is an interdisciplinary minor that allows the student to accomplish the goals of the minor from social science, artistic and humanities perspectives.
