Degree Requirements

Required: 58 credits minimum, 36 credits upper division.

Required Foundational Courses (32 credits total)

The following 8 courses are required:

  • PSYC-200: General Psychology

  • PSYC-222: Abnormal Psychology

  • PSYC-304: Child and Adolescent Development OR PSYC 305: Adult Development and Aging

  • PSYC-331: Physiological Psychology

  • PSYC-340: History and Systems of Psychology

  • PSYC-401: Social Psychology

  • PSYC-421: Human Cognition

  • PSYC-417: Cultural Psychology

Required Research Courses (min 12 credits total)

The following 3 courses are required:

  • PSYC-312: Research Design and Statistics I

  • PSYC-313: Research Design and Statistics II

  • PSYC-495: Research Practicum OR PSYC-497: Departmental Honors (2 semesters and by permission only)
