President's Message

Your college years are some of the most transformative in your life. They offer an opportunity to meet new people, reinforce some of your existing beliefs and question others, and engage in activities and programs you may not have experienced before.

While the journey you travel at Cal Lutheran extends far beyond your classroom learning, it is crucial for you to think creatively and proactively about the sequence of classes that will help you make timely progress to your degree. This 2020-2021 catalog can help you map out that journey—use it as a guidebook to set a clear direction that gets you to your goals.

Whether your classes are F2F, hybrid, or largely remote over the next year, you should know that Cal Lutheran remains as committed as ever to supporting your academic success and intellectual growth. In that vein, we have spent the bulk of the summer designing scenarios that will allow us to deliver academic programs and support services—in whatever format that makes sense—that will help you reach your full potential. We are here to make sure that your student experience is productive and rewarding every step of the way.

I personally welcome you to our campus community and look forward to helping you reach your academic goals, thrive in your chosen career, and flourish in life.
